The workshop went pretty well. My and TonyJ's talks are available for
viewing on the LCD web (see News table).
Of course, there is work to be done. Also, please crystalize your
observations for needs and lets merge the lists and prioritize tomorrow
morning - say 10:30.
Here's some of what I've thought of so far. Basically we would like to
get remote farms operational by Jan 7 or so. There are a few mods we
need to make to the Thanksgiving Gismo release to allow spec of the Si
tracker, VXD and TPC that match needs. We also need to get the fastMC
out the door. To wit:
o need a new code release by the new year - essentially before
Christmas, given people's holiday/travel schedules (eg TonyJ gone from
12/21-1/31; Rob away from 12/23-1/12; Azar poofs around 12/23)
o want to allow
> individual spec for VXD & tracking layers,
> endcap tracking disks
> endplate for TPC (in progress already!)
o debug Linux crash
o finish fastMC
ancillary short term ToDo (before Christmas!)
o finish cluster cheater (not mandatory)
o finish calSmear
o add clusters to JAS, root parsers
o redo parameter access in fastMC
o good packaging of asc2root, JAS parser, fastMC & fullRecon (not
mandatory) for export
o complete batch wrapper for Tim Barklow's generators
Longer term ToDo
o devise general method for tracking detector parameters with generated
data and reconstruction/analysis code
o root-based event display
o G4
o cal clustering
o CVS et seq
What else??
