Tony noticed this truncation. It is due to Gismo's cut on the number of
generations saved, currently set to 5 in arve/gismo/Gismo.cxx. The MC
truth table is essentially useless with the PYBMS stuff we are
generating. The detector response appears to be OK.
I have tested a version on Linux with the cut set to 10 and to 15.
There is a factor of 3 difference in the two in some events, mostly due
to a vast number of bremmed photons.
I figured we could compromise on 10, given that this problem needs to be
revisited and given some real thought as to what we want in the MC truth
table (a strict definition thereof) and how to accomplish it in Gismo.
I'll need to coordinate with Gary's farming to get the code into
Solaris and AIX.
