I have just completed the task of putting all the GismoApps routines
that I've been converting to SIO into the repository and have built
development releases of the relevant libraries on all five platforms.
What affect does this have to you?
1) If you only interested in running our current release ... none.
2) If you want to play with SIO, you will need to modify your DEC
environment as follows:
@s:\nld\dec_tables\Utilities\util.dec <-- NT
@$LCDROOT/dec_tables/Utilities/util.dec <-- Unix
set branch cal/cal dev
set branch lcd/gen dev
set branch lcd/lcd dev
set branch lcd/util dev
set branch lum/lum dev
set branch muon/muon dev
set branch trk/trk dev
set branch vxd/vxd dev
Then in a -private- area, build new bat/bat and win/win executables.
I did -not- rebuild the bat/bat and win/win executables in dev
(lack of space and a doubtful procedure anyway).
The first line (.../dec_tables/Utilities/...) is a good candidate
to put in your 'profile.dec'. How you accomplish the last eight
lines (the 'set branch' stuff) is up to you. For myself, I wrote
a silly little dec script which I ask DEC to execute.
3) If you already have one or more of these libraries checked out
from CVS, you are in a lot of trouble! Come and see me about
merging your changes with what I've done. I did not in fact have
to edit that many files, but they were spread out across nearly all
facilities (and you can see).
Good Luck, Tony.
