Dear Colleagues,

We'd like to announce that the new version of simulation and analysis tools
for linear collider studies based on ROOT (LCDROOT) is now available.

Please see details in the LCDROOT home page

  http://www-sldnt.slac.stanford.edu/nld/New/Docs/LCD_Root/root.htm

The full-source tar.gzip file can be obtained from
    /afs/slac.stanford.edu/public/groups/lcd/RootApps/V3.4/LCDRootApps_v3.4.source.tar.gz
or from FTP
    ftp://ftp.slac.stanford.edu/groups/lcd/RootApps/V3.4/LCDRootApps_v3.4.source.tar.gz

Or, we also can get binary tar.gzip files for
   AIX 4.5 with xlC version 5
   Linux for Redhat 6.2 with gcc2.95.3
   Sun Solaris 5.8 with CC5.2
   WindowsNT with VC++6.0
from the same place.

The main new features are
  1 ZVTOP3
    Topological vertex finding method including one-prong reconstruction
    has been installed.
  2 Pandora (V2.2) and Pandora_Pythia (V3.1)
    Can call the new version Pandora and Pandora_Pythia from LCDROOT.
  3 Definition of the cluster position in FullRecon has been changed;
    from : energy weighted mean of the associated CalHit's
    to : starting point of the cluster
  4 More platform supported.
    We have checked that LCDROOT works on Linux, SunOS, AIX and Windows.
    Now STDHEP4.09 works on Windows.
  5 Several bugs are fixed.

Many of the class definitions have been changed according to the adoption
of TClonesArray. Please see the Web page

  http://www-sldnt.slac.stanford.edu/nld/New/Docs/LCD_Root/rootHtml3.4/html/ClassIndex.html

For this version LCDROOT, please use Root version 3.01/06 or later.
