As you heard from Albrecht Wagner at the Ecfa/Desy
workshop at Prague yesterday, the German Science Council met last
Thursday and Friday and upgraded its previous positive statement
about TESLA to a formal recommendation. More details can be found in the

As stated therein, "The final decision of the German federal government
regarding the TESLA project is expected in 2003."
