Hello Brandon, The fast monte carlo simulations don't create showers or populate calorimeter cells. They directly create cluster objects which are then used in further analyses. We are working on a sort-of-fast simulation framework which will use parameterized shower shapes to populate calorimeter cells. This work is still in the early stages, however. Small data samples can also be pushed through the full simulation programs fairly quickly if needed. Norman
