           Call for Expression of Interest to Host 
           the 2005 Linear Collider Worksop (LCWS)

The 2005 Linear Collider Workshop on Physics and Instrumentation for
the Linear Collider is planned to be held in the Americas in early 
March, 2005.  

Organizations interested in hosting are invited to indicate such 
interest formally with an email to Jim Brau ([log in to unmask]) 
by June 4, 2004, including in this formal expession of interest, some 
intial considerations on the details of the meeting (see below).  All 
emails received will be acknowledged with a reply.

Detailed proposals based on the expressions of interest will be invited  
and due by June 25.  

Selection of the favored venue will be made in July by members from the
Americas of the World wide Study Organizing Committee, and final
approval is expected at the World-wide Study Organizing Committee
meeting on July 27.


DETAILS OF THE MEETING (TENTATIVE)

Dates:      Early March, 2005

Expected attendance:  >400 likely (350-500 possible)

Plenary sessions:  The plenary session hall may need to seat 500
                   The normal plan would be to hold full day plenary
                      sessions in the main hall on the 1st and 5th
                      days, and some short sessions on days 2, 3, or 4,
                      such as late afternoon colloquia.

Parallel sessions: The parallel session will normally consist of 5 sessions
                      being conducted at any time.  
                      
Additional rooms:  Small additional rooms for committee meetings are
                      also desirable.
