Henning- I don't know what the historical reason for that is. I think that if you do an srtpath after you source the setup script, it should be okay b/c that'll set the version of root to be whatever is included in the release (i assume). I think that's the order i reccommend on the webpage. Either way, i'm sure you could eliminate that from the setup script at this point.
