The need for 16GB swap was some solaris-specific oddity (I really should
make a platform-specific config summary page). 6GB should be fine on linux.
Gregory, note that that you should check how much memory xrootd itself
is using 'top' (i.e. figure out how much memory is being used when you get
that error). You should also check if there is some shell limit which
would constrain it.
