Hoi Ed,

for sunos, the following recipe worked for me: 

  newrel -t analysis-24 vub
  cd vub/
  srtpath 16.0.3 SunOS58
  addpkg RecoilAnalysis
  addpkg VubAnalysis
  gmake installdirs
  cd RecoilAnalysis
  gmake -f Makefile lib
  cd ../VubAnalysis
  gmake -f Makefile b2u

You'll need  the HEAD  of cvs,  in addition to  the modified  SunOS if
statements there was  also an ambiguity for a  not-used pow() call.  I
commented the problem.
