Hi Andy, there has been some discussion about this, but I have no clear ideas about its conclusion. Xrdcp opens for writing an xrd file using these flags: Open(kXR_ur | kXR_uw | kXR_gw | kXR_gr | kXR_or, kXR_sync | kXR_mkpath | kXR_open_updt | kXR_new | kXR_force)) As you can see, there is also kXR_force, which was put there (if I remember correctly) after the crazy tests performed by Alvise some time ago.
