hello, ROOT is giving the possibility of reading zip archive, which is a nice feature, though I did not test it yet I think I found a potential interest for it outside the ROOT framework in astrophysics: some experiments are reading FITS files which are not rather small (10's of MB) and they usually organize them in zip archive that can be easily stored into HPSS (less files, less bookkeping, users happier, HPSS admins happier too :-) ). I was wondering if the same ROOT feature would be difficult to implement on the TXNetFile side if it is not implemented there. one other thing: based on the current documentation, client side decompression is not supported yet, right ? thanks in advance, JY
