Dear Colleagues,
 Cadarache in the south of France has been chosen as the site for the ITER 
fusion experiment. The deal must still be ratified by member parliaments,
and funding has to be identified, but this is an important step. After the 
International Space Station, ITER would be the largest global research and 
development collaboration and therefore could serve as a model for the ILC.
