Hi All,
There is now a new development version of xrootd (20050620-0614). This
version is meant to be the next production release (really!). Once some
people do some basic testing of it, I'll switch to calling it
"production"...
[The last "almost production" release (20050525-0946) got a bunch of
testing and some problems were drudged up, those and other things are
included in this release for another go at getting to "production"
quality...]
The changes include:
o more fixes for managing sessionid and file reopens
o lots of small fixes for building on various platforms
o changes to support the "merge" of TXNetFile and xrd posix-like client
o small fixes for SEGV's in particular situations
o fixes for propagating error codes, etc. when using proxies
o fixes in the mps scripts for problems seen at RAL
o small bug fixes in the XrdMon scripts
o new feature: addition of a generalized if-else config facility
o new feature: any number of xrootd's and olbd's are now allowed
on a single host
o new feature(s): thanks to Gerri Ganis, we now have gsi and pwd
authentication working with the xrd security framework and available
out of the standard builds
Feedback from testing is welcome as soon as you can send it!
