It looks like these got truncated somehow:
noric01> ls -l /afs/slac.stanford.edu/u/br/antoniol/xrootd

relative to what I extracted from the binary tarball in the download area:
noric01> ls -l 20050328-0656/bin/xrootd
-rwxr-xr-x 1 elmer ec 373135 Mar 28 07:04 20050328-0656/bin/xrootd
noric01> md5sum 20050328-0656/bin/xrootd
This probably explains why Andy had problems getting information from the
core file.
