Hi,

 unfortunately this time I cannot attend at the meeting. I am not in Padova.

 For the progress: I am going to commit a first version of the command line 
interface. The executable's name is xrdcli, and supports some commands we 
spoke about some time ago.

 I am going to commit mainly to test it at SLAC, and then (tomorrow) I will 
add more missing commands. Even now it should give an idea...
