Ah, Objectivity...
This shouldn't matter for BaBar, though, as xrootd clearly doesn't
have that dependence and the choice of compilers for BaBar releases
is dealt with independently from the default compiler on the machines
by SoftRelTools/SiteConfig, no?
I think this means that there shouldn't be any issue, even if we
request that the default compiler on some or all machines at SLAC is
moved forward. (If worse comes to worse, just "io", i.e. Andy's machine,
could be moved to the new compiler. But worse shouldn't come to worse...)
