Hi Gregory,

I will look at the code but it will be slow going. I've been after Pete to
make sure that the linux versions are compiled with debugging information
included. As you can see from the backtrace, that is not the case. This
leaves me with precious little information to go on except the general
vicinity of where the problem may be. Pete?
