Hi, Pete The "setup.sh" exists and is called "bootstrap.sh" :-) It's documented in README.Maintainer. Maybe I should have emphasized it more. For autotools packages this script is usually called "autogen.sh", sometimes bootstrap.sh. I chose bootstrap. To produce a tested and bootstrapped tarball from a checked out CVS, you just do: ------------------ bootstrap.sh configure (with whatever options) make distcheck ------------------ You can also just use "make dist" instead of "make distcheck", if you are sure that the thing builds ok. This will just trigger packaging of the tarball.
