Hi, Fabrizio Sorry, but only was able to test this now. I rebuilt the file with swig-1.3.29 (bleeding edge) and it works. For the alice services I had the swig file built as part of the complete build (i.e. configure would look for swig and test whether the version was ok). I could do this for this build too: 1. Look whether swig exists and if version is ok 2. If yes: rebuild swig file if no: use the one from the distribution I'll send you the readline patch as soon as I've tested it on a few systems (there seems to be some misconfiguration on the shire nodes).
