Dear Colleagues,

This may be of interest to you, your students and postdocs, and colleagues:

2007 SLAC Summer Institute Dark Matter: From the Cosmos to the Laboratory

We are pleased to announce this year's SLAC Summer Institute, which will be held at SLAC between Monday, July 30 and Friday, August 10, 2007. This year's topic is "Dark Matter: From the Cosmos to the Laboratory." Morning lectures will cover all aspects of dark matter, from observational evidence for its existence, to its role in cosmic evolution and structure formation, to indirect and direct searches and attempts to produce it at colliders. In the afternoons, topical conference talks will alternate with discussion sessions, tours, and social events. The full lecture program, and other information about the Institute, can be found on the SSI website:
 http://www-conf.slac.stanford.edu/ssi/2007/reg/

The Institute is aimed at later-term graduate students and early-term post docs, but attracts more senior physicists as well. Recently, the audience has included particle physicists, particle astrophysicists, and cosmologists. This year's topic promises a lively interaction among all these disciplines, and provides an opportunity for some fascinating cross-training for all of us.

Those interested can register for the Institute at the website given above.

We hope to see you there!

The SSI07 Program Directors,
JoAnne Hewett, John Jaros, Steve Kahn, and Tune Kamae
