Dear Colleagues, A Workshop on Engineering Design of the ILC Interaction Region will be held at SLAC, on September 17-21, 2007. The goals are to make progress on the design of the ILC IR through focused preparation before and during the workshop, in particular for IR magnets, IR integration, push-pull arrangements for detector and collider hall, cryo system, and so on. The workshop web site ( http://www-conf.slac.stanford.edu/ireng07/ ) will soon include information about registration and details of the program. The International Program and Advisory Committee is being formed. Its charge includes organization of preparatory work before the workshop and production of conceptual solutions and drawings that could be further discussed and reviewed at the workshop. Please forward this information to colleagues who would be interested in participating in the preparation work and in the Workshop itself.
