Dear Colleagues, The omnibus spending bill passed the House on Monday by a vote of 253-154. They then added $31B for the war in Afghanistan and passed it again 206-201. This was sent to the Senate, which added an additional $40B for the war in Iraq (by 70-25) and passed it by 76-17. The House today (Wednesday) will ready the entire package for the President's signature, although the vote will only be on the portion of the measure which added funds for the war in Iraq. Norman Graf
