Dear American ILC community, The recent congressional budget actions have impressed on us the need to make our support for the High Energy Physics physics programs (and in particular, the ILC) known to congress and funding agencies. It is imperative that we individually communicate our excitement for elementary particle physics and our concern over its well being. Therefore, the American Linear Collider Physics Group urges every one of you to write members of P5 and your political leaders. You should write to Mel Shochet ([log in to unmask]) and Charles Baltay ([log in to unmask]), CC'ed to [log in to unmask] Additionally, P5 will be holding a number of town meetings (http://hepwww.physics.yale.edu/P5/). It is important that we support ILC at those meetings, so we urge you to attend and make your views known. In communicating with P5, you might want to stress points such as: - the evidence strongly suggesting new physics that LHC is likely to observe - the tremendous role this new physics plays in EPP and cosmology - the importance of having a strong EPP program in the US - how it is essential for the US program to be strongly invested in cutting-edge experiment - the importance of getting a high-precision facility (ILC!) in place before 2020 and the R&D needed now in order to do that - the innovation underway for ILC detectors (SiD, ILD, 4th) with minimal manpower and the urgent need for R&D funding - Mark Oreglia for the ALCPG
