Dear Colleagues, Craig Barrett, chairman of Intel, has a letter in the Open Forum of the San Francisco Chronicle titled 'Flagging economy needs science investments'. In it, he decries the funding decisions which resulted in flat or lower budgets for key science agencies, including the Office of Science, and points out the negative effect this will have on the economic competitiveness of the US.
