We still have trouble getting started at 4:15 but Friday's game eventually became over-attended. I felt safe tellling Dennis he could still play if he got there at 5pm but when he showed up he was about the 24th or 25th player. We ended up playing 12 0n 12 but that wont happen again. We can't let the games get out of control again. That is the reason we got the vests. When all 22 are out the game is closed. If late arrivals want to wait for an opportunity to sub they are welcome but players are under no obligation to sub out if they arrived in time for a spot. In spite of the numbers we had a great game and played until dusk. I can't remember a lot of details but after playing crappy for the entire game I got a great long crossing pass from Chuy and put it in by just barely catchiing up to it with my knee and deflecting it off the defender. The last goal had Abhi taking the ball right up the middle leaving bodies strewn all the way up to the goal as he somehow managed to emerge upright and finish. Lots of beer was consumed after the game. It was great to see some folks from the SLAC noontime crowd come out. We all had a good time. Still: don't show up too late for a vest.
