Minutes of ATLAS-SCCS planning meeting / Apr 16, 2008

1. Tier-2 Operations (Panda & pAthena)
Everything running smoothly.
SRM in production; 1st try ay Tier-2 sites
-- BNL team need to do more work to get it going
-- Deadline for conversion is Apr.25.
RT ticket messages on Western Tier-2 appear to be
more of an issue with the monitoring program.
2. FDR News
CCRC data transmission test is to be resumed by sending
FDR-1 data again and again, to test the system before
the start of FDR-2.
The start date is still scheduled as the week of May 19, but
having problems with building software release 14.1.0 to be
used for FDR-2. The amount of data that will be generated
is yet to be decided.
3. Tier-2 Infrastructure and Hardware
BB1 down for 7 hours for BIOS upgrade (250 Sun machines).
BB2 is to come online soon. ATLAS fair share will be
recalculated when all CPUs are up and running.
1st Thumper for ATLAS is expected to come online by end of
April, and the rest to follow by mid-May.
4. AOB
SCS power outage during Apr. 25-27.
New RHEL update (V6?) is to be installed soon on all RHEL4
machines.
Next meeting is on April 30, 2008.
