Hi Gabriella, Minliang, Shawn, Steve,
(and anyone with date on mitbbr00 at SLAC):

Ray Lo of BaBar desktop support has requested permission to re-partition
and reformat the hard disk on mitbbr00.slac.stanford.edu. This needs
to be done to install a new version of RedHat linux (the machine currently
has an older Scientific Linux version installed, but SLAC no longer
supports SL installations).

IMPORTANT: this will destroy all data currently on the disk. I would like
to confirm that this is ok with each of you. Please let me know.

The reason for the upgrade is to fix a recurring network configuration
problem that prevents ssh access to mitbbr00.

There are also some windows partitions on the machine. Does anyone know
if there is anything important on them? The partition list is below.

Thanks,
--Ray
