Dear Colleagues, A number of the National Labs have made announcements about the impact of the $62.5M supplemental funding for science at DOE. >From Fermilab: "At an all-hands meeting on July 2, Fermilab Director Pier Oddone announced to all employees the official suspension of involuntary layoffs at Fermilab. U.S. Senator Richard Durbin, Congresswoman Judy Biggert and Congressman Bill Foster, who led the bipartisan effort of the Illinois delegation to provide supplemental funding for science, spoke at the event. Acting Deputy Secretary of Energy Jeffrey Kupfer announced that Fermilab will receive about $29.5 million in supplemental funds." Of which, $9.5M will go towards NOvA.
