Literally it should mean something like: "this pathname can be put in a single partition with X bytes free" It can be useful to detect when your disks are full, but not to publish a good estimation of the total free space into whatever external system. To get hints about how to deal with that in Alice, you have to ask Latchezar. AFAIK there is only the need of declaring it statically somewhere.
