Dear Colleagues, The UK's Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) has announced details of its five year strategic plan for science funding in the next decade. £690 million of the £2.4 billion over five years is targeted for support of particle physics in the UK, focusing on work at CERN where the LHC is expected to start routine science operations in January 2010, other experiments including into properties of neutrinos, and grants to university groups in the UK to exploit this investment.
