Follow-up Comment #11, sr #119348 (project xrootd):
The ROOT bug is related to the fact that TKey happily ignores the return code
from TFile::ReadBuffer. The attached patch fixes the problem for this
particular use case, but there is lots of calls with unchecked return codes
all over the place.
