Hi Andreas,

The short answer is no, as far as I can tell. However, the ofs/oss layer does accept it, via “oss.asize cgi” tag and, when specified, the default oss makes sure that the require amount of space is available. It’s just a matter of xrdcp adding it to the filename. Lukasz?

Subject: Question about xrdcp uploads

Hi Andy et al,
If I do an upload with xrdcp towards an xrootd server:
- does the server get the information about the size of the file to be uploaded ?
- if yes, is it accessible in the Ofs layer?
- if not, would you mind to add it as a default opaque information to xrdcp ?

Cheers Andreas.
