Normally this situation is handled by sending a SIGHUP to the server concerned: postrotate /usr/bin/killall -HUP httpd endscript But the Fedora guys seem to be using it without any signals: http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=xrootd.git;a=blob;f=xrootd.logrotate;h=80ae68d8983930d23ad73fbbd665ab1264a16a14;hb=HEAD Andy, how is this handled in the daemons?
