Details:

Hello,

  I have discovered that my cmsd daemon does not respect the port setting in
v3.0.4 on RHEL 6 machine.

I tried with using the -p setting in /etc/sysconfig/xrootd

and  inside the config file.

      xrd.port 1213 if exec cmsd
      xrd.port 1094 if exec xrootd

and

      xrd.port 1213
      xrd.port 1094 if exec xrootd

Here is a few snippets of the cmsd log file -

110728 08:27:54 001 Scalla is starting. . .
Copr. 2010 Stanford University, xrd version v3.0.4-rc1
++++++ cmsd [log in to unmask] initialization started.
Config using configuration file /etc/xrootd/xrootd-clustered.cfg
=====> all.adminpath /var/spool/xrootd/admin
=====> xrd.port 1213 if exec cmsd
=====> xrd.port 1094 if exec xrootd
=====> xrd.allow host *.phy.duke.edu

later in the file:

------ [log in to unmask] phase 2 server initialization completed.
------ cmsd [log in to unmask]:37213 initialization completed.
110728 08:27:54 5075 Start: Waiting for primary server to login.

This makes iptables more fun.

Thanks,
