Follow-up Comment #2, bug #84956 (project xrootd):

Hi Andy,

  xrootd is running on the port that I told it to do.
the nestat command shows the port as 0.0.0.0:1094 and the xrootd
is running with process id 2172

Thanks for telling me that the server cmsd does not accept incomming
connections. This was not mentioned in the documentation and the figures with
the <-> between cmsd lead me to the conclusion that communication was by
directional. 

Only the manager cmsd accepts incoming connections. 

Would it be possible for the documentation be changed to state that the
server cmsd does not accept incoming connections and will run on an arbitrary
port.
