Hi Brian,

If the message is, in fact, always associated with
slava77.2334:[log in to unmask] then this is an error. What it means is
that upon selection to do a prepare request for a prticular file, one or
more servers were marked as pending query for the file. This causes the prep
to delay until the pending status gets resolved. This can also happen if the
request is tagged with refresh (which I don't think it can be but will
check). If the refresh mode is not removed after the first try, you will get
this result. So, does every message refer to the same user@host?

Andy

Subject: Help interpreting a cmsd error message

Hi all,

I'm getting the following message in the regional redirector's cmsd logs:

110914 18:35:00 11209 slava77.2334:[log in to unmask] do_SelPrep: prep
delayed 5 seconds

This message has been repeating for the last … 5 days. I would have thought
some timeout would have kicked in by now.

Brian
