further information.
If I am on the node atlas8.hep.anl.gov and have these xrootdfs mount points:
xrootdfs /data/srm/atlaslocalgroupdisk fuse
rdr=root://atlas8.hep.anl.gov:1094//atlas,uid=10017,sss=/var/spool/xrootd/.xrd/sss.keytab
0 0
xrootdfs /grid/atlas fuse
rdr=root://atlas8.hep.anl.gov:1094//atlas,uid=10017,sss=/var/spool/xrootd/.xrd/sss.keytab
0 0
Everything seems to work. (ie everything is on the same node)
