Details:
I have a stand alone data server with dual nic and addresses
(atlas8.hep.anl.gov / atlas21.hep.anl.gov)
On the machine itself -
[root@atlas8 ~]# xrd atlas8.hep.anl.gov dirlist /atlas
drwx(051) 4096 2011-10-16 21:00:52 /atlas/dq2
drwx(051) 4096 2011-10-16 20:36:33 /atlas/atlas
drwx(051) 4096 2011-10-16 20:09:35 /atlas/local
[root@atlas8 ~]# xrd atlas21.hep.anl.gov dirlist /atlas
drwx(051) 4096 2011-10-16 21:00:52 /atlas/dq2
drwx(051) 4096 2011-10-16 20:36:33 /atlas/atlas
drwx(051) 4096 2011-10-16 20:09:35 /atlas/local
Off of the machine on machine that can see atlas21.hep.anl.gov
I get this result -
[root@ascint3 ~]# xrd atlas21.hep.anl.gov dirlist /atlas
[root@ascint3 ~]# telnet atlas21.hep.anl.gov 1094
Trying 146.139.33.14...
Connected to atlas21.hep.anl.gov (146.139.33.14).
Escape character is '^]'.
^]
telnet> quit
Connection closed.
As one can see from the telnet command I can connect to port 1094. from the
xrootd log on (atlas8/atlas21) I can see
the telnet connection:
111018 04:08:46 30417 XrdProtocol: ?:27@ascint3 terminated handshake not
received
I can also see the connection from the xrd command -
111018 04:13:48 30417 XrootdXeq: root.19675:26@ascint3 login as root
111018 04:13:48 30417 XrootdXeq: root.19675:26@ascint3 disc 0:00:00
