Follow-up Comment #4, sr #124152 (project xrootd):
The only difference that I can see between my reference machines and lxplus
is that the lxplus security guys force preloading of this stuff:
/$LIB/snoopy.so => /lib64/snoopy.so (0x00002b169be4d000)
