The patch that I submitted is not a proper fix for this problem, it just
avoids the crash. The issue is that on lxplus the group information is filled
from LDAP, hence a group may have thousands of members and a buffer of 1024
bytes is unable to contain them all. If that's the case most of the
implementations should fail the call and report the ERANGE errno.
The problem was introduced with the following commit:

It affects both unix and sss.
