Follow-up Comment #2, bug #91957 (project xrootd):
Using the same xrdcp to another proof server it works fine:
# xrdcp
root://pf001.pic.es//pnfs-disk/pic.es/at3/test/DATA_00152508_physics_MinBias_f241_m433_FLIPA-03-02-00.root
/tmp/a.qwreqwrasd[xrootd] Total 780.20 MB |====================| 100.00 %
[24.1 MB/s]
I do not get any output for logs files:
[root@tditaller025 ~]# ps -ef|grep xrootd
xrootd 14443 1 0 12:57 ? 00:00:00
/software/at3/root/root-5.30.04_slc57_gcc4.1.2-51_x86-64_PROOF/bin/xrootd -n
manager -b -l /tmp/xrdlog.log -c /tmp/xrootd.cf
# cat /tmp/xrdlog.log
cat: /tmp/xrdlog.log: No such file or directory
