We won one, tied another and lost two. Not bad for a bunch of pick up soccer bums, who get together mostly to drink beer (or so it seems sometime). Thanks to Rene for moving us beyond beer drinking and towards real playing. The Lulu outfits made us look like"serious" players (probably they helped to frighten the other teams into submission the times we did well), and to Bob for persevering with a bunch of real slackers. We even had a cheering squad come out one day (but I noticed that they came out mainly for the pizza and beer, thus maintaining our Slacker tradition.

Bob and I were looking at the skill levels of the over 60 teams. Even as gimpy as we are, we could definitely do well in that group.

We need to organize a team dinner at Lulus to say thanks for the uniforms. I will not be able to make it if you do it this week as I'm in Pennsylvania visiting my Dad.

On the whole it was a very rewarding experience.
