Dear Ray and Peter, Since Peter is engaged all day today - OK by me to have our meeting next week. At that time the LHC should be up and running after the present technical stop and maybe there will be some operation news to report. The record luminosity so far this year is 5.12 x10^33, close to the goal of 6.8x10^33. Going from 5 to 7 will be by tuning to gain small scale optimizations and that may take some time. Beta* = 0.6 m has already been achieved. Hope to have more news later. -- Best regards, Frank Frank E. Taylor CERN MIT ATLAS Collaboration Bldg. 26 - Rm 569 188-3-015 77 Mass.
