Follow-up Comment #2, bug #92728 (project xrootd):
I would not say this does not work. If the "hang" is the issue, the problem
is caused by a pre-read being active while you are trying to delete a file
object. The delete waits until the pre-read is finished. If the pre-read is
hanging in XrdClient, then this will not happen. It would *really* be good to
have a core file for this not just a back trace for the hanging thread. My
take right now is that there is no cache issue here, there is a pre-read
issue.
