Details:
It would be very useful to have a setup script in the xrootd distribution to
be sourced to set the environment, like 'thisroot.sh,.csh' for ROOT.
Since v5.32 ROOT provides bin/setxrd.sh,.csh to be used in this way
$ source $ROOTSYS/bin/setxrd.sh <path_to_xrootd>
However, ROOT-independent scripts would be more convenient in many cases.
