Hi,

At some point in the near future, I would like to make a Maven "release" of the hps-java project. I'm tentatively planning on early next week.

So, over the next few days, please add any new classes you'd like to see in this release and get your code into more-or-less working order.

I will do this so that all of hps-java's dependencies are forced to make non-snapshot releases, so that we can have, for instance, stable versions of lcsim, GeomConverter, jevio, et, etc. that we are working from, rather than snapshots of those packages, which are volatile dependencies subject to change. Following the release, we need only update these dependencies to snapshots if forced, e.g. if a new HPS detector component is added to GeomConverter or if JEVIO needs an update (for instance).

This will NOT force us to freeze development on hps-java. For development, we'll immediately move to the next snapshot release, so that hps-java can continue to be updated, and we will run the reconstruction (I think?) off of whatever is the current snapshot release. I will, however, probably keep the fixed release versions of lcsim/GeomConv/jevio/etc. in hps-java's POM until further notice and only update those to snapshots if necessary. This will keep our dependencies on those packages stable throughout the remaining duration of the test run and the analysis that follows.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this.
