Hi Paul, I'm not sure this is a 3.2 problem per se. What we have found out is that sometimes people do a partial install where they are using 3.2 with 3.1.1 (or earlier) shared libraries (or vice versa) and that's when all hell breaks loose. Could you verify that this is not the case on your client machines. It appears that the server is working fine as the log shows the expected messages. Andy -----Original Message----- From: Paul T. I am seeing frequent "file not found" type errors, which I suspect is the redirector timing out when the data server is under load. However, I am also seeing read errors. The root based client will complain about "truncated files" and various errors in the Tchains. What I see in the data server log is 120503 11:51:15 27497 XrootdXeq: jsaxon.3589:[log in to unmask] login as jsaxon 120503 12:30:18 27497 XrdLink: Unable to receive from jsaxon.3589:[log in to unmask]; connection reset by peer 120503 12:30:18 27499 XrdPoll: Sever event occured for jsaxon.3589:[log in to unmask] 120503 12:30:18 27497 XrootdXeq: jsaxon.3589:[log in to unmask] disc 0:39:03 (link read error) What causes these types of errors? How do I debug them and fix the problem? Thanks. Paul T.
