Project: XROOTD Submitted by: dhsmith Submitted on: 2012-06-08 11:07 Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Fixed by commit(s): _______________________________________________________ Details: Hello, It would be useful (for me) to have the peer's address (rather than hostname from a reverse lookup) available for authorization decisions. The case I had in mind was for "unix" protocol, but the addition of an element in XrdSecEntity for all the authentication protocols might be useful. I would not mind if the format was binary (e.g. a variety of sockaddr structure) or a text representation of an ip address. It'd be great if you could consider a way to have this available.
