Follow-up Comment #2, bug #96688 (project xrootd):

also, do you have a /etc/fuse.conf on the machine your run xrootdfs? if so,
what is there. 

in my case, the following fuse options are automatically added so you may
want to add if maunally to your /etc/fstab

nosuid,nodev,allow_other
